Schlosser Signs is joining the green revolution and starting to do our part to help our planet. Here's what we're doing:

      • Recycle mercury filled lamps. In 2009 we recycled 97 lamps.
      • Recycle all metal that is produced or comes into our shop. This includes drop and shavings from our router and all signs that we remove. In 2009 we recycled 14,304 lbs of aluminum and 45,440 lbs of iron.
      • Recycle all wood crates and palettes from signs we receive for installation.
      • Recycle paper, aluminum cans, glass, tin, and plastic bottles. We also recycle all used ink and toner cartridges.
      • Purchase recycled office supplies when possible.
      • Use reusable cups, plates, silverware and hand towels.

      What you can do:

      Use light emitting diodes (LEDs) in your new sign or retro-fit your existing sign with LEDs. LEDs are energy efficient and use approximatly 30-60 MW of energy. They also have a long lifespan lasting 6-11 years with continuous use.
